Are Zurichs polarized?
No. They are better! Zurichs will cut glare off the water
so you can see fish, objects, and debris in the water just
like polarized lens. In addition, Zurich will block glare
in direct sunlight better than a polarized lens. Polarized
lenses only work on reflective surfaces. Zurichs block both
reflective and direct sun glare. Polarized glasses don't
have Zurich's exclusive contour design that eliminates glare
coming in from the sides, top, and bottom.
Polarized lenses will block or distort (by screening out
image content) visual clues, making it difficult to read
most electronic screens or scopes. Zurich sunglasses will
not block or distort the vision on instrument panels, digital
readouts, and LED screens; you'll see clearly.
Do Zurichs fit over glasses?
Yes. Our Original Zurich Sunglasses will
fit over most glasses up to a size 54
frame. Our Z2 Sunglasses DO NOT fit over
glasses.
Do Zurichs block UV?
Yes. Zurichs will block out 100% of damaging UVA and UVB,
65% of infrared, plus blue and flat light.
Do Zurichs scratch?
Although not scratch proof, Zurichs have a tough scratch
resistant coating on the lens. We have applied the best
available technology on our lenses to resist scratches.
Remember, there is nothing that cannot be scratched or is
"scratch proof".
Can you see fish in the water?
You can see rocks, fish, debris, logs, deadheads, buoys,
and markers, because we cut the glare on the water. Let
me qualify one thing. Our light and medium shades let in
more available light so you can see into the water. Our
dark shades take out more light, so seeing into the water
is reduced a little.
Are Zurichs all the same size?
Yes, but Zurich sunglasses can be molded, shaped and adjusted
to fit almost any size head simply by applying pressure
of your hands and fingers. You do not need heat to bend
and shape to fit. Call our office if you need further assistance
or details.
How durable are Zurichs?
Zurich sunglasses are made of Lexan polycarbonate and are
very durable, shatter resistant, almost unbreakable, and
carry a lifetime guarantee.
Are Zurichs what the eye doctors give
to their patients after cataract surgery?
No, not normally. The eye doctors usually give out an inexpensive
temporary pair of cataract glasses. In two to five weeks
after the eye operation, the patient can throw away the
temporary cataract glasses. The temporary glasses scratch
easily, break easily, are not adjustable, and have poor
optical quality. They were never designed for permanent
use.
Zurich sunglasses were designed for lifetime use. They are
superior in quality in every aspect.
Can you wear these without glasses?
Yes. They can be worn with or without prescription glasses.
They are great for contact lens wearers because Zurichs
block wind and debris from the sides, even reducing the
amount of pollen reaching the eyes.
Zurichs have two special patents and a trademark on the
look of our glasses. Copycat glasses will not have the pure
optics built into their glasses like Zurichs, because it
costs too much and takes too much technical effort to make.
Copycat glasses will break, scratch easily,
provide minimal (if any) protection from the sun and glare,
and carry no guarantee. Copycat glasses will not provide
coast to coast or worldwide service to their customers.
In the long run, buying copycat glasses will cost you far
more money and put your eyes at risk of damage, plus you
need to replace them over and over again. Zurichs are purchased
once and durable for life! Most copycat glasses are made
in China, Taiwan or the Far East. Zurichs
are made in the United States of America!
What is so special about Zurichs?
Zurichs have 29 features and benefits that no other sunglass
made will have. Zurichs are built for durability, for the
needs or wants of eye protection, and not on the dictates
of fashion.
